Innovation Award Ad

Goal: Training event for superintendent secretaries
Success: TASB is aware of the unique needs of individuals with this role, and we’re here to help. TASB and its staff appreciate the people who occupy the position.

Superintendent Secretaries Ad

Texas Lone Star Ad

Goal: Emphasis of TASB Risk Management Fund’s new brand and identity.
Success: They want to convey that they are unique in their school specific coverage, they have been in the business of RM coverage since 1974 and they give back to their members in the form of Loss Prevention Grants, Renewal Incentive Credits, and Innovation Awards. The Members own and govern the fund so that they are in the “education” business. The Fund supports public education.

Harassment DVD Ad

Goal: DVD that focuses on dealing with sexual harassment, bullying, and like topics.
Success: Legal Services DVD that focuses on dealing with sexual harassment, bullying, and like topics. “Various audiences within districts need to gain awareness about these important issues and satisfy any training requirements … ” “People need more than the information contained within sexual harassment videos, and this DVD will provide it.”

Custom Survey Reports Ad

Goal:A custom job market comparison report.
Success: HR Services is a leading authority in the industry and provides leading edge, helpful tools to districts. They can know what their competitors are paying for positions such as principals, teacher aides, bus drivers, food service workers, and so on.

Capitol Conference Ad

Goal: Governmental Relations Biennial event that updates attendees on Legislative Session news and gives them the opportunity to talk to legislators face to face.
Success: It gives a rundown on the issues TASB will be facing in the current session. It’s a chance for them to learn how to effectively communicate with legislators. … It’s to get the board members familiar and comfortable with working in the Capitol.

Legal Training Ad

Goal: Distance-learning service that allows trustees to complete required training at their convenience.
Success: A new version of the OLC is going to be launched soon that will be a big improvement over the old system. The logo has been updated to reflect the new TASB identity and this new implementation for the OLC. Indirect acknowledgement that the Blackboard system has been down for some time.

Open Meetings Act Ad

Goal: A for-sale video by Legal Services that fulfills new requirements for OMA training for trustees
Success: The first certification priority for newly elected trustees is the Open Meeting Act training provided by TASB Legal Services. TASB Legal Services is here to keep school districts informed and compliant.

Parent Involvement Ad

Delegate Assembly Ad

Goals:Annual meeting for representatives from member districts to vote on TASB directors, resolutions, bylaws, etc.
Success: Awareness: Board members should be aware of the components necessary for Delegate Assembly. Involvement: Board members should be encouraged to be involved-to have conversations about the Assembly process, including any positions they want to submit or where they stand on issues likely to come up in the Assembly.

Grassroots Meetings Ad

Goals: Series of meetings hosted by GR that begin legislative cycle; board members are encouraged to attend and participate.
Success: Governmental Relations ease-of-access to myTASB services and resources combined with messages that specifically speak to them an their needs. We know they’re busy, and we want to make things easier and more efficient for them. We are coming to you.’ TASB staff are reaching out to Texas board members to hear what they need.

Builder Homesite Demo

As a conceptual piece, the HLM Portal was created as a demo for Builder Homesite by Portaris, Inc. Its purpose was to reside on the front of refrigerators as a command central for a futuristic home. While the interface itself is based on my original design, I art directed our team of designers to integrate the functionality in this Flash kiosk. The large icons and buttons were designed for a push button screen and the post-it note metaphor on the calendar emphasizes ease-of-use.
